CAMRA BC’s Mission Statement
The Campaign for Real Ale Society of British Columbia’s (CAMRA BC) mission is set out clearly in the society’s Constitution which states, “(T)he purpose of the society is to advocate on behalf of the craft beer consumers of British Columbia.”
CAMRA BC will fulfill its mission to advocate on behalf of the craft beer (and cider) consumers of British Columbia by:

- Enthusiastically supporting BC liquor policies and hospitality and craft beer/cider industry practices that benefit and positively impact BC craft beer/cider consumers
- Vigourously lobbying for changes to BC liquor policy, hospitality and craft beer/cider industry practices that negatively impact BC craft beer/cider consumers
- Providing education to all levels of government, craft beer/cider oriented businesses and craft beer/cider consumers about consumers’ rights
- Encouraging the appreciation and production of all styles and types of craft beers & ciders in BC
- Promoting the establishment and success of quality brewpubs, neighbourhood pubs, craft-beer/cider focused restaurants and craft breweries/cideries in BC
- Supporting quality home brewing
- Supporting the production of cask-conditioned beers and events related to those products
- Encouraging the responsible and safe consumption of craft beer & cider
